Hiding a drive in windows without using any softwares

start->run->type 'diskpart'
then in a black screen type DISKPART>list volime
it gives the list of drives.
Then select the volume u want by typing
DISKPART>select volume 'number' ex:DISKPART>select volume 2
then type DISKPART>remove letter 'letter that is associated with the drive u have selected'
ex:DISKPART>remove letter D if D is a letter that is assigned for drive 2...
now ur drive will be hidden...

If u want to use the drive then atype
DISKPART>assign letter D
