There are a few ways to make a video to upload to Youtube. You could make a type of slideshow video, do a computer screen recording, or take video footage with a video camera. The first two ways involve using software and if you are a money savvy person and do not want to spend money this is the way for you. It is easy to create videos using your Windows operating system’s programs such as the “Sound Recorder” program and “Windows Movie Maker“. There is also the free Camstudio which allows you to make computer video tutorials like I make.

The first step to making any video is to write up a script as it is hard to think of what to say when your are recording. Simply read your script into the microphone or the Sound Recorder and then save this file. Second section is to create the visual portion of the video. You can make a slide show in PowerPoint and play music with it. Isn’t this simple? You can also add pictures to Windows Movie Maker and turn this into an avi file.

Post your video on YouTube.

The last step in the process is to post your video online to YouTube. It is free of cost and really easy to do. After that simply create a small description about your video and link it to your website. How to View High Quality Youtube Videos on the internet

I personally love watching Youtube videos and sometimes that fuzzy FLV resolution just doesn’t do it for me. I always wanted to see the Youtube videos with a higher quality and I have found a way to do this. There is a downside, you must have a high speed internet toview high quality Youtube videos over the internet.

How to watch high quality Youtube videos

1. Login to your Youtube account
2. Next to the word account there is a small drop down arrow
3. Press on this for a menu to appear
4. From this menu choose more..
5. Then scroll down the page and under the heading account, choose video playback quality
6. Put a check next to I have a fast internet connection. Always play higher quality video when it is available..
7. Save settings. That’s it.

Now when you are logged into your account and you want to watch a Youtube video it will show you the highest quality resolution for that video. If nothings happens and it is still the low quality FLV version then that just means that Youtube video is not available in a higher quality yet.

There is also another little trick you can do to see if a Youtube video has a higher quality video available. You simply add &fmt=6 to the end of the url in the address bar in your internet browser.

For example a url of one my video’s is http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=30qfCgwxzEPw and to see it in higher quality you would change it to http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=30qfCgwzEPw&fmt=6

This only works if there is a higher resolution video available.

Notes:

• When there is not a higher quality when you add &fmt=6 then you can also try adding &fmt=18 to the URL to get MP4 instead FLV.

The moment you post your video on to the YouTube, you begin thinking about how to get your video found on YouTube in the easiest possible way. Surely your friends will watch your videos, but in order to get your videos ranked high you will have to put a little more effort. You will have to compass others and you also need to create your subscription basis in order to receive feedback, ratings, comments and views.

• Make a decent video to post on Youtube! By a decent video I mean it doesn’t have to be totally professional, but it does have to have good content. People will even watch if your voice is out of sync with your mouth talking, as long as it is great information.

• Always ask for the ratings, views and comments for your videos when you post them. You can do this by editing your video with Windows Movie Maker and adding titles and credits that tell people to do this. If you have seen any of my videos, they all have a message at the end saying “if you liked this video, please rate, comment and subscribe!”
• Name your video with the correct title! This one is easy but people do not do it…For example a restaurant named Bla Bla Falls has great coffee making videos but named the whole series Bla Bla Falls restaurant episode 13, 14 15, and so on.. Now I was lucky to find these video’s by accident. When I watched them I thought they were great. They should have been named what the actual video’s were about…For example, “What speed should you pour a Flat White to make the perfect coffee?”, “How to froth milk for a cappuccino?”, and maybe, “How to make a latte with a heart on top?”. It’s not rocket science, but how many people are searching for bla bla falls and how many are searching for cappuccino and flat white?
• Send your video to other Youtube’s as a video response. Find a really popular video that relates to your video content and instead of commenting, leave a video response. People watching the first video often check out the video responses also. Do this over and over and your video will be everywhere.
• Post your video url on Facebook! Facebook is a huge place and if you have friends then you should utilize them. For example you post your videos url to your profile, then your friend comments on it…Well that video will now show up on his profile also because he made a comment. So all his friends will see it now. What if two friends commented on it?
• Do some SEO (search engine optimization) of your own for you video! Why wait for YouTube to promote your video. Once posted you can social bookmark your video at Digg, Stumbleupon, Delicious, twitter, and more. You can also go to www.pingler.comand ping your newly posted video.

1. When your are writing a post in WordPress or Blogger you can simply press on the HTML tab.
2. Then click in the section where you want to paste the code.
3. Right click and choose paste from the menu.
4. To view your Youtube video you can now press on the visual or preview tab.

• If you are pasting this into your html of a website you can paste this code anywhere between the <body> and </body> tag.

The URL at the top in the address bar is sometimes the same, but other times it is altered, depending on what section the video is in. Therefore it is better to get the URL that is next to the video.

How to edit the Youtube video URL so it works with PowerPoint?

Now the URL you copy from the Youtube video website will not work in PowerPoint so we must change it a bit. Here’s what I copied from Youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/9r2teNocXzE and this is what it is meant to look like for PowerPoint: http://www.youtube.com/v/9r2teNocXzE

How to Embed a Youtube video into PowerPoint 2000+?

1. Start the PowerPoint program.
2. Open a new slide. A blank one will do. You can do this by going to the file menuat the top and choosing new.
3. Now go to the view menu at the top and choose toolbars from the menu. Then click on control toolbox.
4. Then a toolbar will open. Now click on the icon for more controls, down the bottom right in the toolbar.
5. Then a list will appear, scroll down to find the words shockwave flash object.Close the toolbox now.
6. Now you can draw a square or box on your slide and this is where the video will go. Go to the left corner of your slide, left click your mouse, then drag the mouse away to create the box. Take you left click off when you have the size you like.
7. Now right click on the box you have just created and a menu will appear. Chooseproperties from the menu.
8. The properties for the shockwave flash box you created will come up on the left.
9. At the top of this list, double click on custom to add custom details about your Youtube video.
10. Add the Youtube video URL in the box that says movie URL.
11. Do not check the embed movie box. It is not needed for this situation because the video is stored on Youtube itself.
12. Press apply and then OK.
13. Close the properties of the shockwave flash box by pressing the cross in its corner.
14. Now go to the file menu at the top and choose to save the presentation to your computer.
15. Now click on the Slide show menu at the top. Choose view slideshow. Your Youtube video will play.

How to Embed a Youtube Video into PowerPoint 2007

1. Start the PowerPoint 2007 program.
2. Open a new slide. A blank one will do. Make sure you are on the HOME tab, Then click on the arrow next to new slide, then choose the blank one.

1. Now we need to bring out the more menu tabs that are hiding by default.
2. Click on the Office symbol in the left hand corner. It will have this trademark in a circle. 
3. A menu will appear. At the bottom press on a button that says PowerPoint options.
4. Simply tick the box that says show the developers tab in the ribbon.
5. Then press ok at the bottom.
6. Now go to the developers tab. In the controls area choose the icon that saysMore controls. If you put your mouse over the icons it will tell you what it is.
7. Then a list will appear, scroll down to find the words shockwave flash object.Select this and then press ok. Close the toolbox now.
8. Your cursor will turn into a plus sign.
9. Now you can draw a square or box on your slide and this is where the video will go. Go to the left corner of your slide, left click your mouse, then drag the mouse away to create the box. Take you left click off when you have the size you like.
10. Now right click on the box you have just created and a menu will appear. Chooseproperties from the menu.
11. The properties for the shockwave flash box you created will come up on the left.
12. Look down the list for the word movie.
13. Add the Youtube video URL in the space next to that.
14. Close the properties of the shockwave flash box by pressing the cross in its corner.
15. Now go to the file menu at the top and choose to save the presentation to your computer.
16. Now click on the Slide show tab at the top. Choose from the beginning. Your Youtube video will play. You can also press F5 to view your slideshow.

How to insert a Youtube video from your computer into a PowerPoint 2007 presentation?

1. This is incredibly easy. Just go to the insert tab at the top.
2. Click on the movie icon, not embed video.
3. Find where the movie is on your computer.
4. Choose it and it will be automatically put into the presentation.
5. A box will appear with a question asking you when you want the movie to be played? Automatically or played when clicked on.

• If you want to send your PowerPoint presentation to someone through email, if you have used a video from your computer you will also need to send this video with it. You can not only embed Youtube video into your PowerPoint presentation but you can also save the entire presentation to a CD to distribute or share around. And the video can be any movie you like, not just one you have downloaded off Youtube. It could be a home movie, business production, commercial, or even a video tutorial.

What you will need to embed a Youtube video into a PowerPoint presentation CD:

You will need the PowerPoint program installed on your computer.

This tutorial presumes you know how to make titles and other slides to go into your presentation.

When viewing the finished product the computer you want to play it on must have PowerPoint installed or a compatible player and a CD drive

How to embed a video into a PowerPoint presentation 2007?

1. Open PowerPoint.
2. Start a new blank slide.

1. Then go to the insert tab. Click on the movie icon.
2. Choose a movie to insert that is stored on your computer. Now in this example I have inserted 4 movies on the same slide and chose to make them play by clicking on them.
3. Resize the movie by dragging the sides in or out.
4. Add more slides or titles etc to your presentation.
5. When the PowerPoint presentation is finished click on the Office symbol in the left corner.
6. A menu will appear. Go down to publish, then choose Package for CD.

1. Then a Package for CD dialog box pops up.
2. Where it says name the CD: Put a name for your presentation CD.
3. Now choose to copy to folder or copy to CD.

1. If you press on copy to folder: It will asks you if you want linked files in your package. This means it will put everything you need to run the PowerPoint presentation.
2. If you press on copy to cd it will check to see if you have a disc ready in the cd drive.
3. I chose to copy to folder and here are the results below.

PowerPoint not only put my presentation in a package to put on a CD, but it also put all the video that I had embedded and a PowerPoint viewer. Therefore if someone wanted to watch my PowerPoint but didn’t have the program then it would still play.

• You can also embed a Youtube video from the internet and publish it to a presentation CD. This means the files will be grabbed from the internet so the person viewing the PowerPoint must have the internet.
